The “Alumni Speak” event, organized by the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Istanbul Gedik University, was held on May 8, 2025, via Perculus with a large turnout.

The event was attended by prospective students, current students of the Department of Visual Communication Design, faculty members, and our alumni. Dr. Ruhcan Akil, Assistant Professor in the Department and moderator of the event, answered written questions and provided insights on pedagogical training/educational psychology, advertising companies and agencies, as well as industry practices, roles, and responsibilities.

Baran ÇELİK, an alumnus who works in the Design/Graphics department of the university’s Corporate Communications division and is also a graduate student, shared his professional experiences from both his student and professional life, as students expressed their expectations and shared their candid views.

Another successful event has contributed to the students’ development and provided enlightening insights into the components of the professional field.
